What is recreational cheer?
Here at Rocky Mountain, we offer recreational cheerleading that introduces your child to the world of cheer by teaching them cheer stunts, kicks, jumps, arm positions/angles, and tumbling. These classes will help prepare your child to cheer for Jr. High, High School, or All-Star cheerleading!

Personal Lessons
What is a personal lesson?
A personal lesson is dedicated time where athlete gets to work one-on-one with a coach focusing on the athlete’s specific goals. Personals are all about the athlete and helping them increase their skills and confidence.
Why have a personal lesson?
Personal lessons are designed to focus specifically on what the athlete needs! Personals can be used to clean up a routine in cheer, polish a pass for tumbling, or simply to help with confidence when moving up a level. Whatever you need we can help in this personal one-on-one setting!
Personal Lessons focus on:
- Reinforcement of any level of skills
- Specific help to move up a level in tumbling
- One-on-one time to work on cheer
Parent Assisted
What is taught in a Parent Assisted Class?
- Physical Coordination and Motor Skills
- Body Awareness
- Introduction of starter skills
- Introduction to beginner and fundamental tumbling (Level 2) skills
- Confidence Building
- Parental Involvement
- Ages 3 and under
Recreation Tumbling Level 2.5 Class
What is taught in Level 2.5?
- Introduction to tumbling equipment and safety
- Introduction to fundamental tumbling positions, jumps, and skills
- Body awareness and technique drills
- Perform skills from Parent Assisted class independently.
- Perform Level 1 & 2 National Junior Olympic passes
Recreation Tumbling Level 3 Class
What is taught in Level 3?
- Reinforcement of Level 2.5 positions, jumps, and skills
- Introduction to the remaining fundamental tumbling skills:
- Back-handspring
- Limber skills
- Perform Level 3 National Junior Olympic passes
Recreation Tumbling Level 3.5 Class
What is taught in Level 3.5?
- Reinforcement of Level 3 positions, jumps, and skills
- Continue learning the remaining fundamental tumbling skills:
- Back-handspring
- Limber skills
- Perform Level 3 National Junior Olympic passes
Recreation Tumbling Level 4 Class
- What is taught in Level 4?
- Reinforcement of level 3.5 skills
- Mastering fundamental skills alone
- Introduction to the following coach assisted intermediate skills:
- Continuous back-handsprings
- Perform Level 4 National Junior Olympic passes
Recreation Tumbling Level 4.5 Class
- What is taught in Level 4.5?
- Reinforcement of level 3.5 skills
- Mastering of standing back handsprings and round off back handsprings.
- Continuous 5 back-handsprings unassisted
- Introduction to the following coach assisted intermediate skills:
- Back tuck and front tuck on trampoline
- Perform Level 4 National Junior Olympic passes
Recreation Tumbling Level 5 Class
What is taught in Level 5?
- Reinforcement of level 4.5 skills
- Mastery the following unassisted intermediate skills:
- Round off back-handsprings
- Continuous back-handsprings
- Introduction to a round off back handspring Tuck and coach assisted whip
- Perform Level 5 National Junior Olympic passes
Recreation Tumbling Level 6 Class
What is taught in Level 6?
- Reinforcement of level 5 skills
- Mastery of round off back handspring tuck and whip
- Introduction to advanced coach assisted skills:
- Power round off whip
- Back-handspring whip
- Back-handspring tuck
- Whip combinations
- Perform Level 6 National Junior Olympic passes

What is taught in Level 7?
- Reinforcement of level 6 skills
- Mastery of un-assisted advanced skills on every surface:
- Back-handspring tuck
- Back-handspring pike
- Introduction to coach assisted more advanced skills:
- Back layout
- Back layout ½ turn
- Back full
- Perform Level 7 National Junior Olympic passes

Recreation Tumbling Level 8 Class
What is taught in Level 8?
- Reinforcement of level 7 skills
- Mastery of un-assisted advanced skills on every surface:
- Back layout
- Back layout ½ turn
- Back full
- Introduction to other advanced skills:
- Whip / full combinations
- Back full tumble out
- Back double full

Recreation Tumbling Adult Class
What is taught in the Adult Class?
- Beginner to Intermediate skills, including but not limited to Back Handsprings, cartwheels and more.
- Work at your own pace and skill level
- Ages 18+
